Perfume is an accessory. Is your outfit really complete without it? Me personally, I love putting perfume on before stepping out because that’s when I feel completely together! While there are so many perfumes to pick from, here’s my list of the top 5 best perfumes to wear for a night out!!

1.) Gucci  – Gucci Bamboo

@ Macy’s

Can’t have a top perfume list without anything from Gucci on it! One of my favorites is Gucci Guilty, but a top contender is Gucci Bamboo. I always feel like a baddie in the room when I wear this!

Perfume Notes: Italian Bergamot, Casablanca Lily, Ylang-Ylang, Comoros Sandalwood.

Perfect If You’re Feeling: Strong. Elegant. Feminine.

2.) Rihanna Reb’l Fleur

@ Macy’s

Rihanna is iconic in several ways, but if it’s one thing I love about her, aside from her music, is her perfume. Each of her fragrances has been a top fave of mine, but her debut scents Reb’l and Reb’l Fleur will always have a soft spot in my heart! Reb’l Fleur is always my go to when I’m headed out for the night.

Perfume Notes: Red Berries. Vanilla. Amber

Perfect If You’re Feeling: Daring. Sexy. Glamorous.

3.) Elizabeth and James – Nirvana Bourbon

@ Macy’s

If you didn’t know, Mary-Kate and Ashley have their own clothing and perfume line that is amazing. Every scent from their Elizabeth and James collection is amazing, but one of the sexiest scents they have is their Bourbon scent!

Perfume Notes: Vanilla Bourbon. Oakwood. Tuberose.

Perfect If You’re Feeling: Passionate. Unpredictable. Provocative.

4.) Tory Burch – Love Relentlessly

@ Macy’s

I got a sample of this from Sephora and instantly fell in love! I can’t really pinpoint the scent, but it’s sweet. It smells like ‘Teardrops on My Guitar’ Taylor Swift and a poppy field! This is the perfect scent if you’re going for the damsel in love!

Perfume Notes: Pink Pepper, Rose, Orris, Sandalwood

Perfect If You’re Feeling: Romantic, Feminine, Delicate

5.) Pink Sugar – Pink Sugar

Alright, do NOT judge me! I know we left Pink Sugar behind in like middle and high school, BUT IT STILL SLAPS!! It just smells SO good, that I refuse to outgrow it! You know how some scents, you can tell what it is because the scent is so distinct that regardless of who is wearing it, you know what it is? Well, what I love the most about Pink Sugar is that it smells completely different on you than it smells on a different person, so you really will have your own signature scent wearing this!!

Perfume Notes: Bergamot, Sicilian Orange, Raspberry, Fig Leaves, Lily of the Valley, Licorice, Strawberry, Red Fruit, Cotton Candy, Vanilla, Caramel, Musk, Wood, Powder.

Perfect If You’re Feeling: Playful. Mischievous. Romantic.

What scents are your favorites? Let me know in the comments!

Don’t ask me why I waited until 27 to take skin care more seriously, but I did at the end of last year. I’ve never taken serious care of my skin, but when I began experiencing hyperpigmentation, dryness, and a change in skin type out of what seemed like nowhere, I knew I had to make something shake and get my skin back under control.

As I did some research, I kept reading about the importance of eye cream in improving skin texture. I’ve never used an eye cream before, and while I didn’t want to spend big bucks on my first one, I wanted to make sure it was of good quality, so I opted for Elf’s Illuminating Eye Cream

It’s described as an eye cream that hydrates the eye area and minimizes dark circles with [a] rich formula that nourishes and deeply hydrates the skin with jojoba, Vitamin E, and cucumber.

What I love about the Elf Illuminating Eye Cream is that it’s super lightweight and doesn’t go on heavy at all. I personally hate having a greasy face when I’m going to bed, and this eye cream is exactly the opposite of that. Being so lightweight, it definitely spreads, so a little goes a long way. For me, a pea size amount is more than enough, and covers below my eyes, on my eyes, and the perimeter of my eyes as well. [Make sure that when you apply any product around your eyes, that you pat and not rub! The skin of the eye is the most delicate skin on your body and rubbing or pulling down can cause wrinkles, bloodlines, and more!]

Overall, I do think Elf’s Illuminating Eye Cream is a solid product. One thing to consider is the other products I use in conjunction with it, so I’d like to try it with a thicker face serum to see how to applies as well. I don’t really see it as a brightening cream, as I haven’t noticed much of a difference there, but I do think it’s great for a moisture boost when your skin is feeling a little dry.

For less than $10, it’s definitely worth the purchase and a product that I’ll keep in vanity cabinet for sure!

A few days ago, I was ranting and raving about the Skin Science Hydrating Face Serum on my Instastories and talking about how bomb it is. I’ve been using it for a few months now and I have to admit that I’m a stan now!

I have oily skin, so when I heard from Auntie Jackie that oily girls should combat with more oil, I had to try it. On a trip to New York, I stopped in a TJ Maxx and found this face serum for about $12. Without a recommendation, I decided to give it a try and OH. MY. GOODNESS.

When I tell you that my makeup goes on like BUTTA… it goes on like butter and my makeup lasts all day long.

This face serum is super hydrating, moisturizing and has hyaluronic acid in it which helps with acne prone skin. If you’re anything like me, you need any and everything that will keep the acne at bay and this serum does just that.

It’s described as:

The face serum that moisturizes the skin, boosting hydrating and firming the skin.”

The Goodies:

  • Safflower Oil: a light oil that helps prevent dryness and roughness on the skin.
  • Cotton Oil: an oil with Vitamin E components that helps fight against aging.
  • Argan Oil: this helps gives the skin a natural and glowing boost and it absorbs easily into the skin.
  • Olive Oil: filled with antioxidants, olive oil is great for moisturizing delicate skin like the eye area
  • Jojoba Oil: an oil that has anti-inflammatory properties that keep dryness at bay and helps with skin repair.
  • Hyaluronic Acid: an acid that provides awesome moisturizing and anti-aging benefits.

Safflower seed oil, Cotton Seed Oil, Argan Oil, Olive Oil, Jojoba seed oil, Hyaluronic Acid, Parfum.

I love this product because it’s rich in vitamins that keeps oily skin nourished and glowy throughout the day. I’m not sure how it battles with dry or sensitive skin types, but I’ve heard that it works pretty well.

I use this product every day as part of my application routine. After washing my face, toning, and moisturizing, I apply the serum and set it with translucent powder. I then finish up my routine like normal.

The face serum runs for about $22-25 for a 2 – oz bottle, which will last you quite a long time.

If you try it, let me know what you think OR if there’s a serum you think I should try, leave it in the comments!
